Congratulations to Yana Kudryavtseva!
Russia’s Yana Kudryavtseva continued her winning ways at this past weekend’s Budapest Rhythmic World Cup, the fifth of seven FIG World Cup events to be held this year.
Though supreme with those two apparatus in event finals, Kudryavtseva finished off the podium with the Clubs and was kept out of the Ribbon final by her younger teammate Aleksandra Soldatova. Confined to receiving silver on four of the five events, Mamun finally broke through with the Clubs for her sole individual victory in Budapest. Ukraine’s Ganna Rizatdinova was the only gymnast to penetrate the Russian domination, taking gold with the Ribbon, her routine’s high start value setting it above the rest.
The same situation was with the group performances. Russia took the All-around title, as well as gold in the 5 Ribbons final.
